About World Bible School Follow Up

Who are WBS Follow Up Workers?

WBS follow up workers are extremely important in the WBS ministry. As Christians share the Gospel with students with correspondence courses, students that are truly seeking the Truth progress in their studies and their faith. When the time is right, they will ask their WBS teacher to help them contact a local church for personal study and, in many cases, to be baptized. That's where a WBS follow up worker comes into the picture.

A WBS follow up worker is a volunteer Christian who strives to personally "follow up" with that WBS student and study the Bible with them personally. WBS follow up workers live all around the world. They are missionaries, preachers, evangelists, church leaders, and everyday Christians. They share the heart of the WBS teacher who teaches students: they are intent on helping others grow in knowledge of the grace and truth that are found in Christ. Many workers are blessed with the opportunity to baptize WBS students into Christ and assist them in transitioning into the local church where they will worship, serve and continue to grow spiritually.

Do WBS Follow Up Workers contact WBS students in other ways?
Many WBS Follow Up workers go out to various locations and hold WBS seminars and workshops. WBS students are contacted by evangelists and offered an opportunity to study. New students are enrolled in WBS courses so they can begin to explore the Good News with WBS teachers.
How does a WBS teacher locate a follow up worker?

WBS helps its WBS teachers locate Christians around the world that will help follow up with a student. Traditionally, hard copy directories contain the names of many follow up workers. Presently, these contacts are being provided in a more up-to-date, automated way-via the Internet. The WBS Contact Management Information System-"CMIS"-delivers automated follow up information for much of the world. But CMIS is much more than a reference source for follow up worker contact names. When your student requests baptism, contact the WBS Internet Follow Up department for assistance.
