As the summer draws to a close, the WBS Lite app is proving an effective recruitment tool. With 9,100 Students registering on WBS Lite, that breaks a record this year. Thankfully, this tool is in place to weather the dip caused by some recent Google changes, which were out of WBS control. The advertising for WBS Lite has not been impacted by Google’s changes and registrations are remaining strong. Web Student registrations will return to normal levels, because the issue with Google was recently resolved. Please be in prayer for this effort to reach every person possible searching for an online Bible study. Keep up the good work of adopting Students and sowing the seed of God’s Word!

In August 2023, we saw the following activity:

Online Registrations

  • Web Students: 1,861
  • Postal Students: 280
  • WBS Lite: 9,101

Online Activity

  • 15,609 quizzes graded by Study Helpers
  • 15,609 quizzes submitted by Students
  • 9,699 adoptions were made

  • 63 baptism requests are in progress
  • 27 in-person Bible studies started

Chad is More Than a Number

Chad registered on the South Knoxville church of Christ Web Target early in the summer of 2023. He had done a great job with the lessons and after completing Born of Water and Spirit, he realized he needed to be baptized. His honest answers to the Spiritual Journey questions gave his Study Helper, J.L. Steel, a lot of information about his background and journey. Chad realized his baptism as an infant was not New Testament baptism nor in obedience to the Gospel of Christ.

When Chad met J.L. at the building, he asked if his 17-year-old son, Gavin, could come. Although Gavin had not enrolled in WBS lessons, his dad had been talking to him about the lessons and their unsaved condition. J.L. talked for several minutes after meeting the father and son. Both men knew why baptism was necessary, and J.L. was honored to help them wash away their sins.

They live several miles from the congregation, so J.L. is putting them in touch with a sound congregation closer to their home to help them grow in their knowledge and faith.

If you would like to send us stories of your Students, please email us pictures and information to help@worldbibleschool.net. Ask your Student for permission to share their story with others.
